WHERE TO FIND: General’s Shrine, Qinghe. Cross the river southwest of the boundary stone. Wang Duolu is on the other side of the river from the boundary stone, near the path leading to the Northern Vow Ruins’s boundary stone.

Wang Duolu | Fisherman
The fisherman outside the General’s Shrine is often suspected by young heroes of being a river fish that has attained human form, along with other fishermen in the wild. All fishermen firmly deny this.
Wang Duolu keeps catching everything but fish and is feeling discouraged. Encourage him not to give up. moshimushi.wordpress.com
WDL: (sitting by the river, rod resting in his hands, voice tinged with humor) Another day, another boot. I’ve earned the nickname Gill Bates—because I’ve spent my life dreaming up bold new ways to fish, hoping to change the world one clever idea at a time… yet the river seems determined to humble me.
Me: Have you tried another part of the river?
WDL: (standing up, dusting off his clothes, thoughful) Ah, Young Master, I’ve tried every nook and cranny of this river. From the reed beds to the rocky banks, and still, the fish elude me. Perhaps I’m just not meant to catch fish, but only strange relics.
Me: No venture no gain. Don’t give up
WDL: (smiling faintly, adjusting his fishing rod) You’re right, Young Master. No venture, no gain. Perhaps the river is testing my resolve. I’ll cast again, if only to prove to myself that I can.
Me: That’s the attitude. Prove to it that your resolve has not wavered
WDL: (eyes brightening with renewed spirit) You’ve reignited my vision, Young Master! I’ll keep casting… today might be the day the river accepts my genius.moshimushi.wordpress.com
Wang Duolu thanks you and decides to try your suggestion.
