[The Darkside Detective S1] Case #2 Walkthrough

Tome Alone is the second case in The Darkside Detective (Season 1) by Spooky Doorway. Kongregate(free demo). Steam (paid full).

To get a better understanding or just for fun, you can read all the dialogues but the ones listed below are (mostly) those necessary to solve the case.

– Coat Rack, next to the door to Lobby (+Button)

Sci Fi/Fantasy (take the elevator in the lobby to 2nd floor)
Interact
– Library Card, the blue rectangle with a white pixel on the ground by the book shelf on the left (+Old Library Card)
– Rocket, left side of the room, on the wall above the book shelf (+Metal Strip)

Interact with the Viewmaster next to the blue Dinosaur (+Viewmaster)

Microfilm Room (Reading Room → Microfilm Room)
Use (drag item from top left corner to the desired location)
– Scissors on Box of Microfilm
– Viewmaster on Cut Up Microfilm (same box)

– Use Button on Gail, he will help fix the elevator button

– Place Lovecraft Novel in the middle bookshelf
– The lever is roughly in the middle section (what used to be K-L section) of the middle bookshelf. Pull it.
– Enter Spooky Doorway

Hidden Room
– Take the skull next to Shelley and the books (+Skull)
– Drop Skull into Crawl Space, the vent next to Shelley

Interact with the Junction Box. You need to reroute the power. Click to move the tiles in the order shown below. (There may be a shorter method but anyway this is what I did.)

Close the book.

Case Closed: He did not see the storm. I did get to meet some personal heroes and get a kid’s life back on track, however. That’s why I do this job. That and keeping the forces of evil at bay, I guess.
