General Office
1. Use key on door.
2. Tap the off-white paper on the desk {+ note}. The red words are 戦争 (sensou), a.k.a. war. We mustn’t forget the “War”. Open the book about herbs and weeds. The trade war happened in 1839.
3. Tap the cabinet with a numerical lock. Enter 1-8-3-9. {+ lever}
4. Move to Prison.

Prison
1. Go to the nearest prison cell on the left. Tap the rod-like object on the floor, beyond the bars. After the dialogue is cleared, use sword on it. {+ Phillips screwdriver}
2. Return to the prison hallway. Tap the light gray, rectangular panel on the right. Use the screwdriver to remove all four screws. Remove the panel. {+ small key}
3. Return to the hallway. Enter the nearest prison cell on the right. Use small key on the locked cabinet beside the bed. {+ small plate with thin film, white chalk}
4. Use white chalk on the bumps of the hollowed rectangular area of the wall. Symbols will be revealed. Tapping on it will trigger a dialogue where Tetsu suggests that there may be a different POV.
5. Return to the hallway. Look through the bars of the nearest prison cell on the right. Take note of the numbers you now see on the wall.
6. Return to the hallway and go to the cabinet with a numerical lock. Enter 5-1-2. {+ small plate with thin film
7. View the flashlight in your inventory. Use screwdriver to remove the screw and open up the compartment. {+ battery}
8. Go to the ‘camera’ on the cabinet. Use the two plates with film on the slots at the side. Open the compartment below the slots and put the battery in. An image will be projected on the wall. Note the positions of the darkened rectangles.

9. Go to the elevator at the end of the corridor. Insert lever on the slot to the left. Move the lever. The electricity will turn on.
10. Take a closer look at the buttons on the right. Tap the rectangles that were darkened in the projected image. The elevator will activate.

1. Use sword on the rabbit hanging from the ceiling, on the right. {+ wooden doll}
2. Go to the chains on the left wall. Note the vertical positions of the 3 chains and the corresponding slashes that are of the same horizontal height.

3. Go to the equalizer-like thing above the axe. Leave the first column alone. Tap the topmost mark of the second column. For the third column, tap the 2nd mark from the top. The torture device hanging from the ceiling beam will come down. {+ wooden key}
4. Use wooden key on locked table at the right. {+ old record}
5. Use record on phonograph, the record player. Listen to the tune (turn on your volume): clack, thump, click, thump, clack. To the left of the table, there is a wooden stand with 3 rectangles. Take a closer look at it. Replicate the tune heard by tapping the rectangles in order: left, right, middle, right, left. A panel will open. {+ flathead screwdriver}
6. Go to the axe on the wall. Use flathead screwdriver to remove screws. {+ axe}
7. Use axe on wooden doll {+ key to 9th basement}

1. Use gloves on the flask emitting vapour. {+ heated flask}
2. If you use the heated flask under Records on Nagi, Tetsu tells Nagi that he sees something inside. Nagi will suggest to throw the contents out. Empty the heated flask in the sink. Collect the leftover solids in the sink {+ key to 10th basement, metallic hook}
3. For (Ending 7 — Hades Grass): Do not complete steps 4 to 7. Go straight to the gate by tapping ⇆. Use key on the gate and open it. (Note: For other endings and chapter 5, ignore step 3.)
4. Use metallic hook on the drawer without handle. Tetsu suggests a wrong handle might have been attached. Use watch on the hook. Open the drawer. {+plate with thin film} The plate says that a correct combination will help you avoid death.
5. Move to Prison. Go to the projector and replace the plates in it with the one from your inventory. View the projected image, it says V+H. Return to the Laboratory.
6. Use empty bottle on the rightmost shelves with a number of bottles. Combine the chemicals: Vemunft + Hilfe. {+ bottle w/ a prepared chemical}
7. Go to the gate by tapping ⇆. Use key on the gate and open it.

*If you chose to leave a letter for Mitsuru in (Stage 22) Vanished Yamato (2), you will proceed to chapter 5. Otherwise, you will proceed to the remaining stages of chapter 4 and can obtain endings 7, 8 and 9.
(Reminder: you can replay past stages from the menu > stages > select a chapter > select a stage.)

1. For (Ending 7 — Hades Grass), wait till the timer hits 0. For other endings, ignore this step.
2. Tap the middle of the Hades Grass field and clear the soil. {+ note about September 1st}
3.  The note mentions September 1st. September (9月) is the 9th month. Go to the two wheels on the left wall. Turn the left wheel arrowhead to ‘1’ and the right wheel to ‘9’. A panel will open. {+ stepladder}
4. Place the stepladder below the ceiling vent, centre of the screen. Use screwdriver to remove the screws. Enter the open vent hole.

  1. Just play this game and facing the same problem about Matsuru’s message. I tried to redo the capter 2 just like what Vi explained here. At first I failed it and still didn’t get the option for Matsuru’s message. That is because when I finished the investigation on Matsuru, I jumped directly into the menu. What I should’ve done earlier was to finish the chapter 2 until it changes to the next chapter.

    Once you move to the chapter 3, there will be a pop up notification saying Mitsuru is no longer a suspect or something like that. Then you can go to chapter 4 to have the option of Matsuru’s message.

    • Um, I got a question. If I got the notification of cleared suspicion, should I continue the replay until chapter 4, or I can jump straight ahead to the branch stage (to leave message) on chapter 4?

      • Hi, I’m still so confused? I’ve been trying for a while now to get the true route ending of the chapter, but I couldn’t, so I searched for a walkthrough. Apparently there’s a message to leave to Mitsuru, but I couldn’t remember ever getting the choice. I tried going back, but there wasn’t an option. Someone commented on what to do, but I still couldn’t get it. Does anyone know how? QwQ I really want to finish this game…

        • These are the requirements:
          In Chapter 1- A suspect, select the choices (I think the probability is low), (Lock the room)
          In Chapter 2- Mitsuru, select (I have no objection), if you choose (I have an objection) I’m pretty sure if i remember correctly he will ask you one more time, but i think it’s important that you select the right answer the first time, because that’s sign of trust??
          In Chapter 2- An opened book, select (Mitsuru Fuwa) for who to ask about the incident
