[black] (web version) Level 1 – 25 Walkthrough

black by Bart Bonte (bontegames) is another minimalist point-and-click puzzle game in the same vein as ‘red’ and ‘yellow’. The goal is to fill the screen with black. KongregateThere are 25 levels. Many levels have different solutions. I’m just showing one method.

Level 1 – Push the Button
Click the black button 6 times.

Level 2 – Light Out
Click and drag the pull switch/cord downwards.

Level 3 – Click the Screen
Click the screen until cracks form. Click each broken part until it turns black.

Level 4 – How Many Corners?
Click the eyes according to the shapes within them, from least corners to most corners.
1. Circle (no corner)
2. Triangle (3)
3. Square (4)
4. Pentagon (5)
5. Hexagon (6)
6. Heptagon (7)
7. Octagon (8)

Level 5 – Touch the White Circle
Hold click on the white circle, until a black circle ‘appears’. Drag the black circle over the white one.

Level 6 – Follow the Line
Start from any box, then click the next box connected to it by the line, then the next box connected to that second box, and so on. Continue until every box has been clicked once.

Level 7 – Pull the Cord
There are cords hidden in the darkness. You can find them by moving the cursor over different spots, and the cursor should change into a hand (or whatever it’s set to in your device) when it’s hovering above a cord. Drag down the hidden cord directly to the right of the visible cord. Its rough position is shown below:

Level 8 – Rotate and Align
1. Click and turn the circles such that they form a black square along with the unmoved black parts:

2. Rotate the resulting black square shown above, until it covers the white portions.

Level 9 – Drag the Bars
Drag the bar with ‘B’ to the leftmost, and ‘L’ to the 2nd leftmost, forming ‘B-L-A-C-K’.

Level 10 – Pairs
Click any 2 balls with the same image on them. Repeat until all 7 pairs are cleared.

Level 11 – Dot and Sides
The dots indicate the order of square sides to be clicked. Click all the top sides, followed by all the right sides, and finally all the left sides.

Level 12 – Dots and Lines
Follow the steps below:

Level 13 – Button Moves Bars
Click:
1. Top left button 1x.
2. Top right button 3x.
3. Bottom left button 5x.
4. Bottom right button 7x.

Note: Whichever button you click doesn’t actually matter, (e.g. top right button can be used for step 1 too), as long as you don’t repeat the same button for different steps.

Level 14 – Ping Pong
Use the paddle to hit the ball and eliminate all the white blocks. Hitting the ball solidly with the left side of the paddle sends it towards the left and vice versa. There’s no penalty for dropping the ball so consider doing so if you’re stuck.

Level 15 – Eight Numbers
See the numbers in the corners as separate digits. They are the order in which the corners have to be clicked.

Click the corners in this order:
1. top left
2. bottom right
3. bottom left
4. bottom right
5. top left
6. top right
7. bottom left
8. top right

Level 16 – Neighbours
Each white square has to be clicked once. Only a neighbouring square can be clicked. Click the squares in the order shown below:

Level 17 – Arrows
The sequence is dictated by the direction and number of overlapped arrows. Click the sides in the order shown below, until every side of the squares has been clicked once:

Level 18 – Flash
Click the black square button, then the block that blinked. However, if the block that blinked is black, ignore it and click the button again. Repeat until the screen is filled with black.

Level 19 – 2 Buttons
Click the square sides in the order shown below:

Level 20 – Drag and Drop
Drag the dark grey parts over the white ‘2-0’. Top grey part is bottom part of ‘0’, bottom gray part is top half of ‘0’. They will overlap a bit. The remaining 2 grey parts are parts of ‘2’.

Level 21 – 3 Buttons
Click the top button and a black block will appear. This is randomised so I can’t give directions. Click any of the bottom 2 buttons, another black block appears. Navigate this new black block using the bottom 2 buttons and get it to overlap the first block. Bottom left button is up and bottom right button is right. Repeat until the screen is filled with black.

Level 22 – Triangles
Click the buttons in the order below:
1. Left, up, right, up, up
2. Left, up, left, up, left
3. Left, right, left, right, left
4. Right, right, up

Level 23 – Die
Click the dice in the order shown below:

Level 24 – Keep Pulling
Drag the cord down as much as possible and hold it there until the lamp breaks.

Level 25 – Rainbow
The knobs change the color of the background. To remove the rainbow colors and get to the black, the background color has to be in sync with the top bar of the rainbow.

Knobs not mentioned should be kept to their leftmost:
1. (Red) Top knob to the rightmost.
2. (Yellow) Top and middle knobs to their rightmost.
3. (Green) Middle knob to the rightmost.
4. (Cyan) Middle and bottom knobs to their rightmost.
5. (Magenta) Top and bottom knobs to their rightmost.
6. (Black) All knobs to their leftmost.
